Local UAE Company Claims Year Of Zayed Perfect Time To Go Green

The Year of Zayed is the perfect time for businesses to ‘go green’ according to local UAE-based firm, Zaeto. The environmentally-friendly product provider was launched in January to answer the growing needs of the Middle East, as the region looks to more sustainable ways of protecting and maintaining equipment and machinery that are vital to economic development.

“Sustainability is one of the four key values for the Year of Zayed according to organisers, The Higher Committee. We want to help businesses, such as heavy industry, engineering, construction and transport organisations to operate in a more environmentally friendly way, in line with the vision of the Founding Father of the UAE,” said Zaeto founder, Nicholas Brooks.

The late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan was world-renowned for his values and was awarded the Arab League ‘Man of Environment and Development’ title in 1993 and in 2005, he was posthumously awarded the United Nations Environment Programme ‘Champion of the Earth’ award for his exemplary contributions that made a significant impact on the global efforts for environment protection and sustainable development.

Zaeto products, which include lubricants and greases that can be used across a multitude of industries, use naturally found calcium sulfonate instead of heavy metals and harmful ingredients. Through the high-tech green formula, companies have found less wastage, more efficient operations and reduced downtime, resulting in significant cost savings.

The UAE Vision 2021 states the importance of economic growth in a sustainable manner whilst protecting the environment. Zaeto claims it is important for companies to do all they can to help this vision and it starts with heavy industry.
