Cigna Insurance Middle East Deepens Commitment To Lebanon With Launch Of Group Health Plan

Cigna Corporation (NYSE:CI), a global health services company, today announced the launch of its group health plan in Lebanon.

Aligned with Cigna’s efforts to serve employers in Lebanon, the wide-ranging Global Health Benefits (GHB) plan allows clients to offer their employees access to personalized products, 1.5 million medical providers worldwide, 24/7 customer support, multilingual call centers across nine global locations, and convenient online tools to manage tasks such as finding a doctor and processing claims. This locally-compliant plan also offers employers four levels of coverage to suit their needs, from Lebanon-only to complete global coverage.

Cigna’s comprehensive customer service will be delivered locally through its rapidly growing team of health insurance professionals based in Lebanon. In line with its localization efforts, the company has hired Lebanese talent for its sales, customer service, underwriting and finance functions.

To expand its network reach, Cigna has partnered with GlobeMed Lebanon SAL, a leading healthcare benefits management company and third-party administrator. This strategic partnership provides Cigna’s clients and customers access to GlobeMed’s extensive network of over 1,600 healthcare providers across Lebanon.

“Cigna has been serving customers in the Middle East for more than 15 years and is the premier provider of health and well-being services to corporations, governments and individuals. We are deeply committed to expanding our service in Lebanon. With the local medical insurance sector continuing to witness robust growth of over 7 percent annually, our comprehensive group health cover will have a positive impact on the overall health and well-being of Lebanon’s citizens and expatriate residents,” said Art Cozad, CEO of Cigna Insurance Middle East.

Cozad continued, “Through our localized service teams and extensive healthcare provider network, our clients and customers in Lebanon can enjoy a superior health journey with easy access to quality services aimed at improving their health, well-being and sense of security.”
