Regional Agriculture Industry In Focus This Month At AgraME 2020

Agriculture industry professionals from around the world are in Dubai for this month’s AgraME, one of the industry’s leading regional trade events, to debate, promote and reshape the future of the regional agriculture, aquaculture and animal farming and veterinary sectors which are all experiencing game-changing growth.

A wide range of regional and international companies, speakers, buyers and industry pioneers will be descending on the event to make the most out of the three-day exhibition and conference which runs until March 5 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The 2020 edition is expected to welcome more than 100 leading manufacturers and suppliers from all continents ready to promote a multitude of products, solutions and innovations which aim to support the ongoing issue surrounding food security in the region.

The introduction of a dedicated AgraTech vertical at the show was created to put focus on the burgeoning industry vertical, and will showcase a wide range of technological advancements to the regional market to promote knowledge sharing between global and local industry leaders.

Commenting on the addition to the show, Sheetij Taneja, Exhibition Manager, AgraME said, “AgraTech is an overarching sector that covers all our present sectors – Animal Farming and Health, Aquaculture and Crop farming.

By providing the industry with access to products, solutions and technical know-how to implement Agriculture Technology, we hope to help farmers in the Middle East and Africa automate processes, improve efficiency, increase monitoring, and capture meaningful, actionable data. With a variety of innovative products and services now available, including cloud solutions, farm automation, UAVs, soil sensors, farm management platforms, climate control, robotics and more, AgraTech will open a wealth of opportunity in the agricultural industry in the Middle East and Africa.”

“To tie in with our AgraTech launch we have a Virtual Reality experience of a vertical farm by Intelligent Growth Solutions at the show this year, where visitors can take a ‘tour’ to see exactly how one looks and operates” added Taneja.

AgraME will offer visitors free access to four different CPD-accredited conference streams – AgraTech; Aquaculture; Animal Farming & Veterinary and Crop Farming. The conference streams for 2020 have taken shape around the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) – a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.

The conference will feature speakers from NEOM, Intelligent Growth Solutions, Veggitech, Crop One Holdings, Desert Control Middle East, World Aquaculture Society, Food and Agriculture Organisation, Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries – Oman, Fish Farm and more.

“We are also putting sustainability at the forefront from a show level this year, as running AgraME gives us lots of opportunities to improve our impact environmentally, socially and economically in our region. Through three guiding principles; Running an Environmentally Responsible Event; Inspiring Sustainable Development and Running a Socially Responsible Event, our aim is to help the market improve its own sustainability through connecting people with the knowledge they need to help solve the bigger challenges currently affecting the sector,” said Taneja.

Under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, AgraME will take place from the 3 – 5 March 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE. As the longest running show in the Middle East and Africa, AgraME welcomes government buyers, distributors, agents, and farm owners from across the Middle East and Africa.
