PwC’s Academy Facilitates Middle East’s Growing Need For Tax Expertise With Online Exam Proctoring

With fast paced changes to the Middle East’s tax landscape driving urgent need for qualified tax expertise across governments and corporate organisations, the temporary closure of testing centres as a result of the current COVID-19 crisis is impacting examinations for hundreds of students. PwC’s Academy has stepped in to facilitate the final step of its portfolio of tax qualifications by partnering with ProctorExam – the leading European online proctoring company – to offer remote examination that is secure and protected.

Launched on the7June, and using API driven technology that enables live monitoring through screen sharing, webcam and microphone, PwC’s Academy students now are able to sit their examinations in a controlled environment, wherever they are.

PwC’s Academy, the talent and skills development business of PwC Middle East currently offers a range of tax related training including the VAT Compliance Diploma, relevant for those in a VAT regulatory role and Transfer Pricing Diploma, for professionals requiring knowledge of transfer pricing guidelines and its growing application. The Academy also offers the FTA Tax Agent Exam – a mandatory qualification for personnel fulfilling the tax agent role within companies to ensure compliance with VAT regulations and practical short courses for tax professionals.
