The Second ABLF Talks Live Virtual Conclave of 2021 which were held on February 9 at the cutting edge virtual venue, the ABLF City, developed by SMART IEDEA. This month, the conclave boasts of a stellar line-up of speakers from around the globe including Vice President of the Republic of Philippines, Hon. Maria Leonor G Robredo, Global Designer, Sustainability Activist and Founder of Sabyasachi, India, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, CEO of SocieteGenerale, Middle East, RichadSoundardjee, Managing Director of Twitter MENA, Benjamin Ampen, Director of OECD Global Relations, Andreas Schaaland UN Peace Ambassador and Founder of AWHPI, Nigeria, H.R.H. Described as Asia’s most influential leadership platform, this is the second big conclave of the year following three successful editions in 2020 (October 6, November 5 and December 7), and the first one of 2021 held on January 18. As always, each of the sessions feature informative and enriching discussions around the themes of disruption, tech-led development, economic recovery, globalisation and resilient leadership, under the overarching theme ‘Innovative Strategies for a Decade of Challenges – Asia 2020- 2030’.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh NahayanMabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy and organised by the Asian Business Leadership Forum, the conclaves seek to provide a platform to connect transformative leaders of Asia with luminaries from around the world in important conversations of consequence.
A key speaker at the event will be Hon. Maria Leonor G. Robredo, Vice President, Philippines, who will preside over a session titled ‘A Time for Resilient Leadership’. In a highlight session, Global Storytellers at ABLF, Asia’s leading designer, Sustainability Activist and Founder of Sabyasachi, India, Sabyasachi Mukherjee will unveil his plans to promote Asian fashion at a global level.
The topic of ‘The Long Road to Economic Stability’ will feature RichadSoundardjee, the CEO of SocieteGenerale Middle East and Andreas Schaal, Director, OECD Global Relations.
Speaking on ‘The UN SDGs: A Greater Urgency with Higher Stakes’ will be David Girling, Senior Advisor and Lead, Private-sector Partnerships and Strategy, Supply Division, UNICEF, and Anne-BirgitteAlbrectsen, CEO, Plan International, while Benjamin Ampen, Managing Director, Twitter MENA and H.R.H.
