Mohammed Bin Rashid Center For Islamic Culture Celebrates 150-Plus Distinguished Students

Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) organised a ceremony to celebrate distinguished students from the Department of Students’ Affairs courses in 2019. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Ali Hassan Al Marzouqi, Director of the Research Department at IACAD, and over 150 students, their families, teachers and center employees.

Hind Lootah, Director of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture said that the center aims to foster a culture of moderate Islam and to introduce all Muslim and non-Muslim residents in Dubai to the Arabic language. Lootah stated that different communities living in the UAE are keen to learn more about Islamic culture and the Arabic language, which is addressed by the center.

Shamsa Mohammed Bin Shafie, Head of the Students’ Affairs noted that the center recognized 80 students, picked from more than 1,000 participants of different nationalities, in 2019.

Bin Shafie said: “This ceremony encourages all participants to give their best and acknowledges their efforts. During the ceremony, the center also recognised the staff from different departments of IACAD, who supported the Students’ Affairs courses such as Ifta department, The Department of Islamic Education and Religious Guidance, and Al-Mizhar and Umm Al-Sheif Islamic Cultural Centers,”

The event saw several activities including an Emirati breakfast for the attendees, Arabic calligraphy, tutorials on ways to apply Henna and make gypsum, handicraft and more.
