MEED Awards Qualifiers Recognised For Role In Developing The Region’s Knowledge-Based Economy

MEED has announced the finalists for the third edition of the MEED Awards, which celebrate the contribution of the private sector in developing a knowledge based economy in the GCC.

With regional visions now in their implementation phases, governments are focused on encouraging organizations to bridge the gap in raising awareness to fulfill goals of achieving economic growth in a variety of tertiary sectors.

The MEED Awards acknowledge the private sector organizations who are committed to embracing disruptive technologies, sustainability initiatives and efficient people management to drive growth in  non-oil sectors, which is projected to grow by 3.1% this year*. The awards continue to support the extensive efforts that businesses and leaders of the GCC are taking to steer away from the traditional business landscape into new and evolving domains.

60 companies have been shortlisted in the following 13 categories: Architectural/Design Firm of the Year, Bank/Financial Institution of the Year, Business Innovation of the Year, Consultant of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Developer of the Year, Energy Company of the Year, Female Leader of the Year, Healthcare Company of the Year, Law Firm of the Year, Logistics/Transport Company of the Year, Male Leader of the Year, Manufacturer/Supplier of the Year, Renewables Company of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, and Technology Company of the Year.

Winners will be awarded in a gala dinner and awards ceremony, hosted on the 27th of November 2019 at The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC, Dubai.
