LIVEX 2026 Opens With Five Agreements Advancing Urban Development, Real Estate And Community Prioritie
LIVEX 2026 opened today with five agreements that put its liveability agenda into action across community inclusion, professional training, real estate innovation and development. Signed by government entities, businesses and academic institutions, the partnerships range from expanding participation for people of determination to supporting property projects in Abu Dhabi and Georgia.
The signings reflect the opening day theme, ‘The Human City’, and a shared focus on placing people at the centre of urban growth. Together, they bring different sectors into close cooperation to support more integrated, sustainable communities and long-term economic development.
The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT)’s Operations Support Sector and the Zayed Authority for People of Determination signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Community Initiatives to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of public spaces. The partnership will also create more opportunities for People of Determination to take part in these initiatives, advancing inclusion and active community participation.
DMT also signed an MoU with Abu Dhabi University to offer practical training to students at its College of Law. By connecting classroom learning with professional experience, the programme aims to develop students’ skills and prepare them for careers in the legal field.
In the Real Estate sector, the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) signed an MoU with Hub71 to support real estate start-ups. The collaboration aims to encourage new solutions for the sector and strenghten Abu Dhabi’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Two further agreements cover property development in Abu Dhabi and overseas. One International Real Estate Development (ONE Development) signed an agreement with Ambassadori for a project in Batumi Island, Georgia, and another with Mohammed Rasool Khoory & Sons to jointly develop a project on Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi.
From community initiatives and skills development to start-ups and property investment, the five signings show the breadth of collaboration taking shape at LIVEX. They also underline the exhibition’s role in connecting the organisations shaping the future of cities and turning shared ideas into projects that respond to community needs, urban development, real estate, professional capabilities and community priorities.
LIVEX 2026 continues on 30 September and 1 October at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, with the programme moving on Day 2 to ‘The Architecture of Liveability’, exploring how governance, technology, design, mobility and investment can help create more efficient, sustainable places and systems that meet everyday needs.
