King Kai Is Muscling Into Middle East Film & Comic Con 2019!

Dubai’s Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) today revealed that bodybuilding superstar Kai Greene, the creator and illustrator of his own comic The Chronicles of King Kai, will be attending the April event for the first time..

Kai, the founder and chief creative talent of Dynamic Muscle Comics, will be muscling his way in to the region’s largest and best pop culture convention next month meeting his army of fans and giving up-and-coming artists some tips on how to succeed in the world of comics.

The US born entrepreneur, actor and businessman grew up in Brooklyn, New York and recently unveiled his first graphic novel in his native New York in October 2018; to popular acclaim.

The debut comic is set in the world of Tricari and follows the adventures of its hero King Kai, the ultimate warrior whose only goal is to save the world by uniting the fractured tribes of his home world and dethrone the evil regime led by King Kutullah before the universe is destroyed.

Michael Lamprecht, MEFCC Event Manager said: “Kai is a fantastic example of how popular culture resonates with people of all shapes and sizes. Having firmly established himself as a personality in body-building he made his superhero dreams become reality through comics. We’re looking forward to offering fans of MEFCC and beyond, a chance to interact with a multi-faceted celebrity which is what MEFCC is all about.”

Kai took up bodybuilding while in the 7th grade at high school, encouraged by one of his teachers and stemming from his desire to channel his energy towards something positive. From there, he went on to compete in some of the world’s most prestigious competitions that include Mr Olympia and several Arnold Classics around the world.

His career has also propelled him on to the big screen, which started with him taking part in the documentary series Generation Iron, and its sequel Generation Iron 2. His acting experience also includes a role in the 2015 comedy College Debts, as well as playing the character Funshine in the second season of mega hit sci-fi show Stranger Things.

Kai will appear alongside Luke Cage’s Mike Colter, The Arrow’s Katie Cassidy, Ross Marquand from The Walking Dead and Tara Strong, one of the world’s most prolific voice actors.
