JBR To Host Street Music Festival

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), the city’s premier waterfront destination, will host Street Beats, a 10-day street music festival featuring more than (600) performances by 60 local and international artists from over 20 countries.

Set to run from 15 to 24 March, the event will transform JBR into an open-air stage, with performers taking over the destination with their catchy tunes and beats created on varied professional and impromptu instruments from violins to buckets. Guests will get to experience the best of street talent from the UAE, Europe and the Americas in a one-of-a-kind music extravaganza that is open to the public free of charge.

Performers will include Dub FX, a worldwide street performer and recording artist, The Saw Guy, an artist making music on saws, Doctor Bucketman, who turns buckets, pots and pans into drums, Simon Wood, pioneer of hang music, and Stranger Faces, a band that blends beatbox, bass guitar, and a Loop Station to play a self-invented genre of music – Lo-Fi Funk.

Since its launch in November 2017, the #WOWJBR campaign has transformed JBR’s 1.7 km promenade into a venue for a series of fun-filled weekend events.
