Italy’s Dental SMEs Supports UAE’s Vision In Becoming An International Health Hub At AEEDC Dubai

H. E. Nicola Lener, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE; H.E. Valentina Setta, Consul General of Italy in Dubai; Amedeo Scarpa, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, Oman and Pakistan; Gianfranco Berrutti Vice President of UNIDI – Italian Dental Industries Association and President of FIDE (European Dental Federation), were in full force today along with 39 Italian companies at the opening of the 24th edition of AEEDC, the UAE’s International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition and the largest dental event in the MENASA region.

To meet the growing demand of the United Arab Emirates, whose dental devices market is in a constant growth, thanks to increasing awareness on oral care, revamping of dentistry regulations, increasing incidences of dental diseases, innovation in dental products and diagnostic equipment, a wide range of latest innovative ‘Made in Italy’ equipment and consumables for dentists, dental clinics, dentistry professionals and technicians, are showcased at the Italian Trade Agency Pavilion. The 39 highly-selected and innovative SMEs participating in AEEDC with ITA in collaboration with UNIDI, prove how Italy is at the forefront of oral health and dental technology, combining engineering, science, and design. A great chance for local dental clinics and professionals to test Italian expertise in the dental sector and expand their business opportunities and partnerships, in line with UAE’s ambitions of becoming an international health hub. AEEDC is the largest dental event in the MENASA region. Started out as a collective participation of few Italian companies, it became significantly important for ITA’s activity over the last three years, with more and more firms participating in the fair. Italy’s exports of dental equipment and consumables to the United Arab Emirates has increased by 25,73% in the first nine months of 2019 compared to the same period in 2018.  A sample of CAD/CAM, Dental 3D Printing, diagnostic equipment, dental devices, and consumables are on display at the ITA Pavilion, in Sheikh Maktoum Hall # 4 at the three-day AEEDC Dubai, running until February 6, 2020.
