International Artists To Descend On World Art Dubai

Artists and galleries from all over the world are Dubai-bound this month for the fourth edition of World Art Dubai – the Middle East’s only regional affordable art fair.

The flagship event of Dubai Art Season, this year will see an assortment of up-and-coming artists and galleries from five continents and 25 countries flying into the country to exhibit their latest works, with World Art Dubai showcasing the finest emerging talent from the cosmopolitan melting pot of the UAE; domestic artists comprise approximately 30 per cent of the 300-plus artists and galleries at the fair, which runs 18-21 April at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

From the UK to the People’s Republic of Korea (South Korea), Peru to Denmark, and Germany to the USA, the world’s emerging artists and galleries will touch down in Dubai for a four-day art fair which continues to grow year-on-year. In total, more than 4,000 original contemporary artworks will fill the fair’s largest-ever space at DWTC, where talent from India and Japan will house their works in dedicated national pavilions.

On the sidelines of the core exhibition, a jam-packed World Art Dubai itinerary also features exclusive talks, interactive workshops, live music, food trucks and family-friendly activations.

“In a city where major international events are part of the social DNA, World Art Dubai has forged a reputation for offering something truly unique,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions & Events, DWTC. “The fair continues to expand every year, which underlines the UAE public’s unwavering appetite for affordable and accessible art, as well as Dubai’s standing as one of the world’s leading cultural and creative hubs.”
