Huawei Diversifies Smartphone Offerings

The mid-tier smartphone category is a growing segment, offering consumers advanced features at reasonable price points. Huawei has a diversified range of smartphones, catering to each range of consumers, from the high-end luxury device owners to the mid-range categories. Huawei’s nova series has a history of innovative features offered to users at reasonable prices, solidifying Huawei’s commitment to the mid-range smartphone category.

“We have seen an increase in demand by consumers for mid-range smartphones,” said David Wang, UAE Country Manager, Huawei Consumer Business Group. “At Huawei we pride ourselves in driving innovations in our flagships, but also in our mid-tier ranges, as well. Advanced features, especially when it comes to camera capabilities, are expected as the norm now, and customers are looking for a balance between quality and cost.”

Camera is indeed one of the influential elements that defines a smartphone and it is one of the most significant key selling points for consumers. In the past, innovations in smartphone photography were focused on clarity and speed of the pictures. Consumer preference has now shifted beyond the usual megapixel count where higher quality of focus, better perspective, and more visible depth of field is not just a ‘nice-to-have’, but a prerequisite.
