Designed for children, adolescents, parents, administrative and teaching staff, government departments, and education-concerned community institutions, this year’s edition will be held under the theme “Health-promoting environment for children and adolescents during Covid-19”. The event brings together an elite of local, Arab, and foreign doctors, experts, and specialists in various fields of childcare and their physical and mental health to share their experiences with parents to help enhance awareness about healthy lifestyles in society.

Her Excellency Iman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Promotion Department, said: “My Health Conference comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah to invest in people and to achieve sustainable health as a key pillar to ensuring the well-being and happiness of community members.”

She went on to say: “The conference aligns with the UAE’s forward-looking vision to confront various challenges that the society may face specifically on the health level.”

She pointed out that the upcoming edition will be focusing on enhancing the capabilities of schools in preparing for and responding to emergencies and curbing the spread of diseases and epidemics, learning about best health and preventive practices to create a safe and healthy environment in schools, strengthening the link between the school community, parents and community institutions, and fostering their role in promoting mental health and healthy behaviors in children and adolescents.
