Gulfood 2021 Unlocks ‘Incredible’ Business Potential For Mexico’s F&B Producers

Gulfood 2021 has unearthed “incredible” business potential for F&B companies from Mexico, according to the organisers of the North American country pavilion at the most competitive global sourcing platform and first in-person F&B event in the past 12 months, which runs at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) until Thursday 25 February.

The five-day event has galvanized the global F&B industry to kickstart global trade and make up for missed opportunities – and explore a full gamut of business prospects – following one of the most challenging years ever for the industry. Some 2,500 companies from 85 countries are reconnecting under one roof to trade, exchange knowledge, discover and discuss the latest innovations.

“For the whole of the pavilion we had 110 meetings confirmed before the show started, which showed the potential that is here at the event this year. However, since being here we have outdone that number of meetings five times over. It has been incredible, we have met people from a huge range of countries and regions, including Russia and Europe,” said Patricia Moreno, Managing Director of Tradenex, the International Trade Consultants, that brings a range of Mexican businesses to Gulfood annually.

“For us, this market is really important for our strategy, we have to reconnect and restructure our strategy in order to overcome the pandemic. Dubai is very important as a local market for our products but also important for the export to other countries.”
