Global Village Celebrates International Day Of Happiness 2018

Global Village, the region’s first multicultural festival park, and family destination for culture, shopping and entertainment, celebrated International Day of Happiness 2018 with loads of fun activities and interactive games that took place at the Roman Amphitheater from 4 PM till 9 PM. In keeping with this year’s theme, ‘Share Happiness – focusing on the importance of relationships, kindness and helping each other’, Global Village organized several activities that encouraged guests to interact and share happy moments turning the venue into a true Happiness Factory for the thousands of it’s guests.

The most popular of these activities was the Happiness Wall, a 10 meter wide wall that was used by guests and kids to write ‘What Makes You Happy?’ messages and to design the Happiness logo based on their perspective on happiness.

Another popular activity was the ‘Spin the Smiley’, that asked guests to show their beaming smiles to all present as a spinning wheel was rotated. The three biggest smiles that remained when the wheel stopped were declared the winners of Global Village’s signature gold coins.

In addition to the interactive games for guests and kids, Global Village organised flash mob dances with performers wearing the happiness logo to bring the curtain down on the festivities.

Smiley faces with happiness day messages were placed on all the screens at the main stage, roman amphitheater, Carnaval funfair land and all info screens at Global Village. Yellow smiley face flags were placed all around the amphitheater and yellow smiley face t-shirts and vests were distributed by staff and the flash mob team. Yellow balloon smileys, yellow smiley faces cutouts and props and selfie frames with smileys for happiness day were placed all around the park which also had face painters for Emojis and balloon modelers for smiley faces and balloons.
