Emirates Institute For Banking And Financial Studies Supports Emirates NBD’s The Careers Network Initiative For People Of Determination
Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS), a regional leader in banking and finance education and training, has announced its support of Emirates NBD’s Careers Network initiative for People of Determination by hosting the program’s quarterly recruitment ‘Meet Up at EIBFS’ Dubai campus on Wednesday (September 18).
Emirates NBD’s The Careers Network is part of the bank’s flagship #TogetherLimitless advocacy platform for people of determination. The Careers Network connects work-ready individuals of determination with employers interested in promoting inclusion within their workforces. In collaboration with its strategic partners, the Community Development Authority, Manzil, Al Noor, and Sustainable Square, The Careers Network enlists work-ready individuals from pre-existing work-training programs from centers, organizations, and schools across the country and aids them in taking on long-term employment positions with the program’s corporate partners in the public and private sector. The program assists partners in the private sector with the selection, hiring and training of potential employees, in addition to shadowing candidates in the first months of their employment to ensure complete workplace integration and on-boarding. Quarterly recruitment ‘Meet Ups’ as well as workplace inclusion workshops, candidate assessments, selection and job coaching are offered free of cost to UAE companies by The Careers Network.
Held in collaboration with EIBFS, the Q3 2019 Careers Network Meet Up drew the participation of 12 establishments and 44 job seekers. Representatives of the participating organizations helped the job seekers understand the job descriptions of the available roles and functions as well as the skills required for them, in addition to providing them with information on the specific company. The initiative also paved the way for organizations to network with potential employees and the available talent pool.
Speaking about the Careers Network, Jamal Al Jassmi, General Manager at EIBFS, said: “We are proud to support Emirates NBD’s The Careers Network initiative at our Dubai campus. The initiative helps people of determination learn about career opportunities across sectors. The strong participation of different organizations from the government and private sector is testimony to their commitment to this cause. The leadership of the UAE has always supported all sections of the society and people of determination are high on the priority list.”
He added: “At EIBFS, it has been one of our key visions to include all sections of the society in our trainings. We understand the requirements and support the needs of people of determination as we strive to pave the way to greater inclusion. Every organization must be open to building a more diverse work place. We are committed to continue supporting such initiatives in the future.”
“Emirates NBD welcomes EIBFS’ support as we continue to strengthen our efforts to offer people of determination across the UAE the opportunity to participate in the workforce through The Careers Network,” said Husam Al Sayed, Group Chief Human Resource Officer. “Since its launch in November 2016, The Careers Network has successfully placed 68 people of determination in jobs, with 14 individuals placed this year alone. We look forward to growing support from the UAE community, as well as the country’s public and private sector to further our initiatives towards workplace inclusion.”
As a training institute EIBFS believes in bringing employment diversity across the finance and banking sector. Earlier in the year, EIBFS conducted a workshop for students with hearing disabilities on ‘Secrets of Success & Motivation’, which was organized in collaboration with the Sharjah City of Humanitarian Services (SCHS) as part of EIBFS’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
EIBFS has been actively involved in empowering all sections of the society. The institute firmly believes in humanitarian causes and has conducted various workshops for students of determination over the years.
EIBFS has been at the forefront of advanced financial education and capacity-building and has endeavored to raise awareness on the need for equal opportunities in the UAE community through such efforts.
