Two of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks –  the Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab – have been given a Star Wars spin by Instagram artist Paperboyo (Rich McCor), who travelled to Dubai from London to create Star Wars architectural artwork, in celebration of the release of Star Was: The Last Jedi.

Rich’s unique work – in which he turns ordinary landscape photographs into clever artwork with a simple paper cut-out technique – has earned him a large following across the world (326,000 at the time of writing) within just two years.

In his artworks shot in Dubai, Rich created paper cut out’s of Star Wars: The Last Jedi main character Rey, and much-loved droid BB-8, and positioned them against shots of the Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab to create the illusion (respectively) of Rey holding the Burj Khalifa as a lightsaber and walking with BB-8 along the beach by Burj Al Arab.

Every Monday evening, the chic venue will dedicate one evening to one Legend. The elegant urban destination will be decorated with portrait pictures of the artists, lyrics of famous songs hand-written on the walls, and offering a themed menu for the occasion featuring for example: Truffle entree called “Careless whisper”, Gnocchi “Papa don’t preach”, Foret noire “Purple Rain”.

Be ready to be quizzed by the staff who will be dressed for the occasion, while the DJ will be playing tracks from the anthology of the artist. The line-up features: George Michael (Jan 15), Prince (Jan 22), Madonna (Jan 29), and Michael Jackson (Feb 5).
