College Of Fashion & Design To Showcase Their Talent At Modest Fashion Week

The College of Fashion and Design in Dubai and its talented students will be participating at Modest Fashion Week (March 7^th – 9^th). The ‘CFD Student Collection’ will be showcased on the catwalk, which is an amazing platform for student designers to reveal their talent to a live audience.

The College of Fashion and Design have aligned themselves with key events in the UAE that provide such opportunities to their students. Five budding design students from CFD are participating at the Modest Fashion Week and will showcase a total of 10 outfits on the catwalk.

Showing their creative talent on a prestigious platform like Modest Fashion Week to working backstage the live learning experience is what CFD education is all about. The College of Fashion and Design has aligned its initiatives to the UAE’s Vision 2021 by providing educational excellence in the field of Fashion and Design and this is just one of the examples of how CFD is integrating the students in real-life situations.

CFD offers a comprehensive curriculum covering both creative Fashion and Design skills along with the essential Business and Communication skills necessary to be successful in the competitive world of fashion. Students are able to complete a 2 Year Diploma in Fashion and Design and continue seamlessly for a further 2 years to complete a well-recognized Bachelor degree in Fashion Design or in Fashion Business Management.

CFD is well-equipped with professional-quality fashion and innovation labs containing industrial sewing machines, ironing machines, a 3D printer, a laser cutter and an embroidery machine. A computer lab with MAC computers for digital design and a full-service Nikon photography lab are available for students to develop their skills. The CFD library boasts an exciting collection of Fashion and Business books, magazines, and films as well as access to three comprehensive databases of online resources.
