ATDD Plans Launch Of Innovative Project During Arabian Travel Market 2019

Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) is participating at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) at Dubai World Trade Centre from April 28 to May 1.

HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), said, “One of the largest tourism trade fairs, the Arabian Travel Market is a valuable opportunity to showcase Ajman’s wide variety of tourism destinations, activities and initiatives. We also plan to hold meetings with regional and international experts and exchange information about our industry’s latest developments and trends.”

New additions to Ajman’s vibrant tourism sector include the Heritage District, a multipurpose project spanning 42,000 square metres, with retail and F&B outlets and a range of spaces for hosting events, ceremonies and seminars – including shaded outdoor areas with trees that are centuries old.

Tourism is one of several key sectors upon which the economy in Ajman is focusing. The Emirate has a variety of interesting features including historical, marine, mountain, nature, environmental tourism and safaris that appeal to tourists from around the world. The emirate is also home to a number of attractions such as the Ajman Corniche, Al Zorah and the Ajman Museum, which is of great interest to visitors who wish to learn about the history of the region.

His Excellency added, “This year, in addition to showcasing Ajman’s many exciting attractions for visitors, we plan to highlight investment opportunities in our flourishing tourism sector. The emirate is generating significant interest with its exciting events, hospitality options and family activities; in 2018, there was a remarkable year-on-year increase of 14% in the number of guests at Ajman’s hotels, resorts and hotel apartments. In line with the strategic objectives of Ajman Vision 2021, our goal is to welcome 800,000 visitors per year by 2021.”

Ajman’s tourism sector includes leisure, business, sports, cultural and medical tourism with a multitude of well-established hospitals and clinics. ATDD will support Salamtk Medical Travel, which is launching a new initiative to provide clients in the Middle East with affordable access to reputable local and international doctors.

At Ajman’s stand, ATTD welcomes co-exhibitors including Ajman Hotel; Ajman Beach Hotel; Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort; Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel; Elite Travel & Tourism; Ewan Hotel Apartments; Fairmont Ajman; Marsa Properties; Musandam Sea Adventure Travel & Tourism; Radisson Blu Hotel Ajman; Salamtk Medical Travel; The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah; Travzed; Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche; Voyage Tours; and Ajman Business Women Council.
