Middle East Influencers Reveal The Strategies Disrupting The Social Media Landscape At Meltwater's Social Summit In Dubai

Some of the Middle East's best-known disruptors and influencers will share their strategies for success at the Meltwater Social Summit in Dubai

Some of the Middle East's best-known disruptors and influencers will share their strategies for success at the Meltwater Social Summit in Dubai.

Taking place on November 12, at the Sofitel Downtown, Dubai, the event will celebrate Meltwater's 10th anniversary in the Middle East.

Akanksha Goel, Founder Socialize; Jessy El Murr, Journalist & Social Media Presenter at Sky News Arabia; Joe Akkawi, Partner, Paz Marketing; Tahaab Rais Head of Strategy, FP7; and Mohanad Alwadiya, Influencer & CEO, Harbor Real Estate, will reveal industry insights, as well as strategies that may disrupt the social media landscape for the next decade.

“This year’s Meltwater Social Summit celebrates one decade of revolutionising the social media landscape. As the market continues to develop, there is a need to remain agile and adapt to client needs. Businesses and organisations are becoming more aware of the influence of social media and are keen to use its power to change the way we communicate,” said Zubair Timor, Director of Strategy & Partner at Meltwater. “By sharing a stage with some of the best-known influencers disrupting that landscape today, we aim to help businesses and organisations tap in to the driving forces for communication in the next decade.” According to Zubair, the last 10 years has witnessed a great shift in the industry from traditional online editorial to social media. Now, he says, businesses are using machine learning to understand what is being said about them and to help make more informed decisions.

“Meltwater stands at a unique apex of educating the Middle East market and providing innovation. Our aim is to continue to impact the region positively and push boundaries. We are moving towards a Digital Majlis, an opportunity to share and exchange ideas. As the UAE's appetite for forward thinking grows, we continue to witness the impact technology has on all aspects of business. We look forward to the build-up to Expo 2020 and beyond as we aspire to be a valuable partner helping Middle East companies communicate and connect their vision, goals and ideas to the world through digital media,” said Christo Van Wyk, Area Director India & Middle East at Meltwater.

Meltwater collaborates with companies, regardless of sector or size to help them with a component of digital transformation. The company continues to reimagine the way that unstructured data outside the firewall can be used to improve business efforts across organizations, industries and continents.
