GITEX Shopper 2018 has witnessed a consumer electronics sales splurge during its opening two days as UAE residents and visitors flock to unload a treasure chest of unbeatable, unbelievable offers, discounts, bargain bundles and prizes at the region\u2019s largest consumer electronics shopping spectacular.<\/p>\n

The newly-consolidated annual show, running at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) through 11pm on Saturday 6 October, underlined its retail powerhouse standing as crowds descended on Za\u2019abeel Halls 4-6 to grab the latest smartphones, smart TVs, laptops, home electronics, gaming consoles, wearable technology and cameras – to name a few \u2013 at prices unavailable anywhere else.<\/p>\n

With exclusive limited offers and bumper flash sales on 35,000 products, the UAE public are making a beeline for the show after work, leaving leading retailers to report hot sales across major international and new-to-the-region technology brands.<\/p>\n

The very first to enter GITEX Shopper 2018 was British Dubai resident, Joe Lee: \u201cThis is my first visit to GITEX Shopper. I\u2019ve heard it\u2019s the best place for tech bargains. I\u2019m here to upgrade my Samsung watch and I\u2019ve promised myself I\u2019ll pick up a 4K TV. I\u2019m considering a [Sony] PS4, too. It\u2019s cool to see MG cars here and I spotted the massage section which I\u2019m taking advantage of after a look around.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ranzel Barretto, a Dubai resident originally from India, added: \u201cI have been coming to GITEX Shopper for many years and always buy something. I usually buy laptops, but this year I\u2019ve bought a phone. I went for a Samsung S9 plus, which I got for a really good deal. My favourite thing about GITEX Shopper is the flash sales, I love them. I research a lot online for electronic products that I plan to purchase, but if there is a product which I don\u2019t have knowledge about, then it\u2019s great to have these guys on hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

As attentions begin to turn to the weekend, GITEX Shopper organisers DWTC are amplifying dozens of competitions to further incentivise crowds.
