Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC)\u00a0that will take place\u00a0at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC)\u00a0from March 3 to 5\u00a0has yet another exciting announcement. Visitors\u00a0will get a chance to meet\u00a0renowned actor, director, producer, voice actor and author, Andy Serkis on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5. Andy is best known for his performance capture and voice acting roles across various popular titles such as\u00a0The Lord of the Rings<\/em>,\u00a0Planet of the Apes<\/em>\u00a0series and The Star Wars Sequel Trilogy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Meet the Stars<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What makes Andy Serkis special? Andy Serkis is a seasoned artist best known for his role as ‘Gollum’ in the\u00a0The Lord of the Rings<\/em>\u00a0franchise, ‘Caeser’ in the Planet of the Apes films, ‘Supreme Leader Snoke’ in the latest Star Wars films, ‘Ulysses Klaue’ in Black Panther and Avengers: Age of Ultron, and ‘Alfred Pennyworth’ in The Batman.<\/p>\n

He is also a BAFTA-winning actor for his portrayal of ‘Ian Dury’ in a 2010 biographical film about the musician, which is just one of his many awards across the film, television, and theatre industry. In 2012, Andy co-founded the production company The Imaginarium, which released its latest series last October 2022 with\u00a0Half Bad: The Bastard Son\u00a0& The Devil Himself\u00a0<\/em>on Netflix. Through Imaginarium, he also directed the films\u00a0Breathe<\/em>,\u00a0Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle,\u00a0<\/em>and recently,\u00a0Venom: Let there be Carnage,\u00a0<\/em>of which he is set to direct its third installment.<\/p>\n

He has won multiple awards as an artist, like the National Comic Award in 2001 for Best New Talent, working on\u00a0Judge Dredd<\/em>. He has also produced the art and concept design for films such\u00a0Dredd<\/em>,\u00a0Annihilation, Star Wars: The Last Jedi,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Ex Machina<\/em>.<\/p>\n
