A total of 33 hotels in the Middle East have made it to the list of the \u2018Most Wanted\u2019 hotels worldwide in the \u2018Hotels.com\u2122<\/a> Loved by Guests Awards 2018\u2019, which were assessed by a panel of experienced judges.<\/p>\n

Dubai topped the list of award-winning cities with 20 hotels, followed by seven hotels in Abu Dhabi and two hotels in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

Hotels.com<\/a> believes that the way to find the \u2018Most Wanted\u2019 hotels is to ask the customers themselves\u2026so they did just that. Knowing that reviews are becoming even more influential than the official star ratings, Hotels.com<\/a> looked at over 25 million Hotels.com<\/a> guest reviews on the website to pick the winners.<\/p>\n

The competition was tough, with an astonishing 3,400 hotels across 91 countries being identified as truly outstanding. The winning hotels had to receive a rating of 9.4 (out of 10) or above to be categorised as one of the world\u2019s \u2018Most Wanted\u2019 hotels.<\/p>\n

Globally, the USA stormed ahead with 1,498 hotels snapping up a \u2018Most Wanted\u2019 award, running away from the competition, with Italy (232), the UK (192), Canada (126) and Spain (101) making up the top five countries to scoop up awards.<\/p>\n

The cities around the globe where travellers are most likely to check into a Most Wanted award-winning hotel are: <\/strong>Rome (39), Florence (38), London (36), Hanoi (36) and Venice (32) – with the Italians speeding away with three out of the top five cities. The Most Wanted \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

22 hotels around the world received an outstanding \u201810 out of 10\u2019 in their reviews throughout the whole of 2017, an impressive golden record. The UK stole the show with six hotels receiving top marks, followed by five in the US and two in the Czech Republic. Korea, New Zealand, Vietnam, Iceland, Portugal, Turkey, Brazil, Canada and Bali all had one hotel each with a perfect report.<\/p>\n
