This year\u2019s Middle East Special Events and Exhibition Awards (MESE) resulted in a big day out for UAE\u2019s homegrown Events & Advertising conglomerate – Plan b Group. The group walked away with the industry\u2019s most coveted regional accolade when Plan b Owner & Founder Harmeek Singh got announced as the \u2018Industry Icon\u2019 at the evening\u2019s finale.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Industry Icon\u2019 award is reserved for event veterans who have made significant contributions to the industry through knowledge sharing and their work.<\/p>\n

Harmeek Singh\u2019s journey in the UAE began when he formed the group\u2019s first entity Plan b Advertising in 2004, and has kept him at the helm of the industry through his involvement in the management of some of the UAE\u2019s biggest public events, and creative campaigns.<\/p>\n

The highly decorated Singh is the recipient of several awards and recognitions but claimed this win to be his most revered till date.<\/p>\n

\u201cAwards and recognitions are an indication of being on the right track. But the title of \u2018Industry Icon\u2019 is testament to all highs, lows, early mornings and sleepless nights to be absolutely worth it,\u201d said Harmeek Singh, Owner & Founder, Plan b Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to thank everyone who was part of considering me as an \u2018Industry Icon\u2019 and every client, partner and team member as they are every bit a part of all my successes.\u201d He added.<\/p>\n

This however was one of the two big moments for Plan b, as the Group received a Guinness World Record during the MESE 2018 as well.<\/p>\n

In line with the theme and spirit of the MESE platform and the awards evening. Plan b Group registered an official record attempt to show case \u2018Most People In A Photo Cut-out Board Picture\u2019. The colossal contraption measures 32 square metres and weighs over 350 kgs., however the significance of the attempt was the fact that the structure was put together by a team of six craftsmen within a mere 10 hours.<\/p>\n
