<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The first of its kind Healthcare technology innovation conference for pioneers will be taking over Abu Dhabi on 9 May 2018 at the New York University Abu Dhabi Campus. During the conference the winners of TIP Healthcare Awards launched by the Department of Health in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and the Department of Economic Development \u2013 Abu Dhabi will be officially announced.<\/p>\n
The conference aims to recognize the winners who will receive awards worth 3 Million Dirhams that will be provided in the form of investment, sponsorship, licensing, business development, partnership\u2019s and technical support for individuals and business entrants.<\/p>\n
In addition, TIP Healthcare Awards winners will be linked with appropriate businesses in their respective sector to develop their ideas and work on the patenting process and next steps.<\/p>\n
The one-day conference will have three main themes which are \u201cTechnology towards 2071,\u201d \u201cInnovation Beyond Earth\u201d and \u201cPioneers of Healthcare.\u201d\u00a0 These themes are inspired by\u00a0 the UAE Centennial Plan which aims to position the UAE as the world\u2019s leading nation through \u201cTechnology towards 2071\u201d and\u00a0 \u201cHope Mars Mission\u201d initiatives.<\/p>\n
H.E. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi, The Ministry of Economy\u2019s Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, stated \u201cthe ministry aims to honour participants\u2019 service to the nation and for their pioneering spirit. Innovation is very closely tied to boosting the UAE\u2019s regional and global competitiveness, and this is what we will be gaining from TIP. We want to increase new patents and implement them in the UAE to drive the UAE business environment. The ministry and our partners are influencing raising the Global Innovation Index\u00a0 with TIP initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n
HE Khalifa Salem Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, stated \u201cWe aim in the Year of Zayed to adopt and implement new technologies\u00a0 that serves the needs of the UAE community in the field of healthcare and apply them them effectively in various health centers and hospitals which requires financial investments.\u201d HE also pointed out the TIP conference will the appropriate platform for all strategic partners to implement and accelerate the pace of technological innovation in the field of health care.<\/p>\n
HE Khalifa Salem Al Mansouri\u00a0 also added, “We are looking forward to see TIP inititaive as one of the main pillars in achieving the objectives the Department of Economic Development within Abu Dhabi Plan which is in line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. This will be achieved through our support to the participants in the form of direct investments, sponsorship of innovative projects and technical support to individuals and start-ups\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Mohamed Al Hameli, Acting Undersecretary of the Department of Health, said \u201cThe Department of Health is keen to harness the benefits of innovation in the healthcare sector. By innovation we can improve the healthcare services, face its challenges and build a brighter future for the Emirate\u2019s healthcare sector, TIP Healthcare awards have so far seen many possible solutions to the healthcare challenges which we are looking forward to implementing to contribute to our vision:\u00a0 \u2018A Healthier Abu Dhabi\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
