The events also hosted the brand new Hub Forum, a two-day conference uniting industry experts, thought leaders, analysts in e-commerce, digital and sustainable trends to discuss and debate the way forward for these fast-evolving industries in a post-pandemic world.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year we stepped up our efforts to engage with exhibitors and encourage them to showcase their most vibrant offerings, and I think that really showed on the exhibition floor.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo whether it was baby clothes and children\u2019s lifestyle products, stationery, school bags, writing instruments and creative supplies, or premium gifts and leather accessories, there was plenty on offer to entice regional trade buyers to think outside their traditional product portfolios and expand into new areas.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe introduction of the Hub Forum similarly created a point of difference for delegates eager to expand their knowledge on how to navigate the current business environment,\u201d added Akbar.<\/p>\n
Paperworld Middle East 2021 returned with the Playworld Village replete with children\u2019s toys and games; and Project Sustainability, a specially curated section that shines the spotlight on eco-friendly products and supplies.<\/p>\n
The annual three-day event also hosted the brand new\u2018Artistry Workshops\u2019, welcoming art scholars, teaching faculties from art schools and other enthusiasts to learn and develop multiple creative skills including ancient Islamic calligraphy and acrylic painting workshops.<\/p>\n
Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, Paperworld Middle East 2021 featured regular long-time exhibitors including the UAE\u2019s Capital Envelopes, The Navigator Company from Portugal, Beaumont Group from France, WZ Eurocopert from Poland, and Japan\u2019s Zebra.<\/p>\n
Regular and debut exhibitors alike expressed their satisfaction with the show, including The Navigator Company, an integrated producer of pulp, paper, tissue and bioenergy products, whose activity is based on state-of-the-art mills on a world scale.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur aim is to be a sustainable company and lead by example for our friends from the industry,\u201d said Catarina Novais, Head of Marketing at The Navigator Company.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re extremely glad to be back with face-to-face exhibitions and launched a new line of sustainable packaging, gKraft, which we look forward to distributing in the MENA region.\u201d<\/p>\n
And Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East too presented its own success stories, with French exhibitor Cristal De Paris inking new business deals during the show.\u00a0 \u201cIt was exciting, my stand neighbours were actually my friends from back home,\u201d said Frestler Guy, President of Cristal De Paris, a Parisian crystal producer.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe all work in the same area and have common customers, this way there is never competition as we each provide customers with a unique selection. We\u2019ve struck a deal with Patchi(a confectionery manufacturer) on our very first day of exhibiting and look forward to materializing more deals post the show!\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, trade buyers and visitors to the two shows were eager to see what was on offer.\u00a0 Yousif Mohammad, and Entrepreneur that recently entered the sustainable stationery market, said: \u201cThis was my first time visiting Paperworld Middle East as I have recently ventured into sustainable production of stationery.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy business mostly revolves around the process of production however, it was good to meet industry partners who are looking to expand their production into the UAE. I met some great international brands and had some fruitful conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n
Other visitors were pleasantly surprised at the variety of high quality products on offer at Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East.\u00a0 OmairSaadi, Operations Manager at SB Productions, said: \u201cMy company works with multiple tech and consumer clients and Gifts& Lifestyle Middle East had an array of exhibitors with multiple gifting products, from toys, to hand woven sweaters, customized sustainable jute bags, to precious metal mementos and crystal bowls \u2013 it\u2019s amazing to see all this under one roof!\u201d<\/p>\n
