{"id":6139,"date":"2018-04-17T04:58:09","date_gmt":"2018-04-17T04:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/middleeastevents.com\/blog\/?p=6139"},"modified":"2018-04-17T04:58:09","modified_gmt":"2018-04-17T04:58:09","slug":"emaars-mohamed-alabbar-among-confirmed-speakers-for-iia-international-conference-2018-dubai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.middleeastevents.com\/blog\/emaars-mohamed-alabbar-among-confirmed-speakers-for-iia-international-conference-2018-dubai\/","title":{"rendered":"Emaar\u2019s Mohamed Alabbar Among Confirmed Speakers For IIA International Conference 2018 Dubai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With less than three weeks to go until the world\u2019s leading authorities on internal auditing gather in Dubai for The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Conference \u2014 from May 6 to 9 \u2014 the event\u2019s key note speakers have been announced.<\/p>\n<p>Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the three-day event will see some of the region\u2019s leading business names address topics concerning artificial intelligence, cyber security and business disruption.<\/p>\n<p>Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties, will be one of the most high-profile speakers when he takes to the stage to discuss \u2018reaching new heights through innovation\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking ahead of the conference, Alabbar said: \u201cInternal auditing is a cornerstone of an organization\u2019s long-term growth, sustained progress and success. Hosting the IIA International Conference in the MENA region for the first time is a great opportunity for business owners to develop the internal competencies of their organizations through a greater understanding of the audit process and in turn further strengthening their corporate governance standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other speakers include Abdullah al-Rowais, Chief Audit Executive, Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily); Claudia Olsson, Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum; and the \u2018youngest A.I. scientist in the world\u2019 Tanmay Bakshi.<\/p>\n<p>The event, held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, will be the first time the IIA International Conference has been held in the MENA region.
