The 18<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the awards saw a jury 40 members judging 157 submissions sent by over 30 countries.<\/p>\n<p>SriLankan Airlines was awarded the \u2018First Star\u2019 in the campaign category for its Melbourne launch campaign \u201cTwo Cities, One Spirit.\u201d It also bagged the \u2018Second Star\u2019 in the same category for its brand campaign in China themed \u201cThe Spirit of China, the Story of Sri Lanka.\u201d The third, another \u2018Second Star\u2019, was bestowed upon SriLankan for its video \u201cThe Largest Carrier to India\u201d in the TV Cinema Spot category.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second consecutive time the Airline was commended at the Golden City Gate podium, having been the recipient of the \u2018first star\u2019 for its destination video \u201cEpic Journey of Sri Lanka on SriLankan Airlines\u201d in the in the MICE Promotions category, last year.<\/p>\n<p>Upon receiving the awards, SriLankan Airlines General Manager Marketing, <strong>Mr. Saminda Perera<\/strong> said, \u201cWe at SriLankan Airlines are honored to receive three prestigious awards at this year\u2019s Golden City Gate Awards. This is the second consecutive time that we have been commended at this podium and this proves the universal appeal of our marketing communications endeavors.
