The Ghanaian delegates are participating in the global conference with the aim of exploring funding opportunities for capital intensive projects in the African country.<\/p>\n<p>Following a decision last year from the Bank of Ghana that raised the minimum capital requirement for Ghanaian commercial banks to $89 million, many banks in the country are in need of investment in order to meet the recapitalization deadline of September 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Omar Khan, Director of International Offices at Dubai Chamber, explained that the trade mission will provide an ideal opportunity to facilitate fruitful cooperation between Ghanaian businesses and their UAE counterparts, explore bilateral investment opportunities and promote Dubai as a global business hub and gateway for investments into Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am optimistic about prospects and outcome of this trade mission as Dubai\u2019s business community is already well aware of the huge investment potential that Ghana offers.
