Smart meters, remote terminal units, and advanced distribution management systems for smart grids can optimise costs, transform the customer and citizen experience, and protect critical national infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the UAE urbanises, digitises, and industrialises, the country&#8217;s utilities providers are global leaders in supporting smart cities and smart grids to meet rising energy demand, drive energy efficiency, and new levels of connectivity to enhance the customer experience,&#8221; said Hanan Darwish, Cluster President \u2013 Gulf and Pakistan, Schneider Electric.<\/p>\n<p>As Schneider Electric&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wpyadmin.ne.cision.com\/l\/pjovueoz\/www.schneider-electric.ae\/en\/about-us\/press\/schneider-electric-inaugurates-innovation-hub-on-wheels-at-dubai-silicon-oasis.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Innovation Hub on Wheels<\/a>\u00a0toured Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, visitors experienced 17 Internet of Things use cases on Schneider Electric&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wpyadmin.ne.cision.com\/l\/pjovueoz\/www.schneider-electric.com\/en\/work\/campaign\/innovation\/overview.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EcoStruxure architecture and platform<\/a>. Use cases covered the segments of building, transportation, water and waste water, oil and gas, utilities, and data centre.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During UAE Innovation Month, we showed how we are working closely with the UAE&#8217;s utilities ecosystem to leverage the Internet of Things to drive innovation, cybersecurity, and renewable energy.
