{"id":3403,"date":"2018-02-28T07:16:51","date_gmt":"2018-02-28T07:16:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/middleeastevents.com\/blog\/?p=3403"},"modified":"2018-02-28T07:16:51","modified_gmt":"2018-02-28T07:16:51","slug":"hundreds-take-part-in-hatta-walkathon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.middleeastevents.com\/blog\/hundreds-take-part-in-hatta-walkathon\/","title":{"rendered":"Hundreds Take Part In Hatta Walkathon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Under the banner of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Community Sports Initiative, the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) organised a walkathon in Hatta on Tuesday, February 27, attracting hundreds of school children and residents.<\/p>\n<p>Commencing from the Hill Park, the 3km walkathon passed through the city before finishing at Hatta Cultural and Sports Club.<\/p>\n<p>Several governmental entities \u2013 namely Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, RTA, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Civil Defense, Directorate General of Residency &amp; Foreigners Affairs, Culture &amp; Arts Society in Hatta and Maitha Bint Rashid Al-Maktoum Center for People of Determination \u2013 took part in the walkathon alongside students of government and private schools.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Community Sports Initiative is one of several initiatives launched by our wise leadership to boost the sports sector in UAE and the emirate of Dubai in particular,&#8221; said Ali Mohammed Obaid Al Bidwawi, the Chairman of Hatta Cultural and Sports Club&#8217;s board and President of Hatta Football Company.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This initiative confirms the importance of cooperation among various governmental agencies and departments in Dubai.
