Join OSN as we celebrate the prominent role the mother plays in all its shapes and guises, with a two-day Mom-tastic movie marathon from 18.30 KSA on Saturday March 20 and Sunday March 21.<\/p>\n<p>With something here for all mothers, the Mother\u2019s Day movie line-up features nine movies from a range of genres portraying very different aspects of motherhood. Highlights include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gloria Bell <\/strong>is a comedy-drama film starring Julianne Moore, that follows a free-spirited divorcee known for spending her nights on the dance floor and joyfully letting loose at clubs around Los Angeles. She soon finds herself thrust into an unexpected new romance, filled with the joys of budding love and the complications of dating.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>First Wives Club<\/strong> is a classic 1996 American comedy film that developed a cult following, particularly among middle-aged women. Produced by Scott Rudin and directed by Hugh Wilson, it stars Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, and Bette Midler as three divorc\u00e9es who seek revenge on their ex-husbands for leaving them for younger women. Hawn was awarded a Blockbuster Entertainment Award and both Midler and Parker received Satellite Award nominations for their portrayals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two Weeks<\/strong> is a widely acclaimed 2006 comedy-drama starring Sally Fields and Ben Chaplin.\u00a0 Four siblings return home to their mother&#8217;s house, in North Carolina, for what they think is the last few days of her life. Suddenly, this unexpected family reunion extends uncomfortably as she hangs on, and they find themselves trapped together for two weeks, forced to face her death and also their connection with each other.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chocolat<\/strong> is a classic romantic comedy celebrating the sinfully delicious confectionary. Set in France, it tells the story of Vianne Rocher (played by Juliette Binoche), who moves to the fictional French village of Lansquenet-sous-Tannes with her six-year-old daughter and opens a chocolate shop. It is not long before her chocolate influences the lives of the townspeople of this repressed French community in different and interesting ways. The film attracted positive reviews and was awarded many accolades, including five nominations at the 73rd Academy Awards, including Best Picture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Freaky Friday<\/strong> is a fantasy-comedy directed by Mark Waters and written by Heather Hach and Leslie Dixon.\u00a0 It stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as a mother and daughter whose bodies are switched by a mysterious and magical Chinese fortune cookie.\u00a0 The film received largely positive reviews from critics, with praise for both Curtis and Lohan, earning the former a Golden Globe nomination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where&#8217;d You Go<\/strong>, <strong>Bernadette<\/strong> is a 2019 comedy-drama starring Cate Blanchett in the title role as a loving mom who becomes compelled to reconnect with her creative passions after years of sacrificing herself for her family. Bernadette&#8217;s leap of faith takes her on an epic adventure that jump-starts her life and leads to her triumphant rediscovery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Doubtfire <\/strong>is an American comedy-drama film starring the late Robin Williams with Sally Field, Pierce Brosnan, Harvey Fierstein, and Robert Prosky. After a bitter divorce, an actor disguises himself as a female housekeeper to spend time with his children held in custody by his former wife.The film addresses themes of divorce, separation, and the effect they have on a family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Guilt Trip<\/strong> is a 2012 American road comedy film directed by Anne Fletcher from a screenplay written by Dan Fogelman, starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen.
