Based on the beloved book series by Eoin Colfer, which sold more than 25 million copies worldwide, Disney\u2019s \u2018Artemis Fowl\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>is a fantastical, spellbinding adventure that follows the journey of 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds, as he desperately tries to save his father who has been kidnapped. In order to pay his ransom, Artemis must infiltrate an ancient, underground civilization\u2014the amazingly advanced world of fairies\u2014and bring the kidnapper the Aculos, the fairies\u2019most powerful and coveted magical device. To locate the elusive object, cunning Artemis concocts a dangerous plan\u2014so dangerous that he ultimately finds himself in a perilous war of wits with the all-powerful fairies.<\/p>\n

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, \u2018Artemis Fowl\u2019<\/strong> stars Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Josh Gad, Tamara Smart, Nonzo Anozie, with Colin Farrell and Oscar winner Judi Dench. Kenneth Branagh, p.g.a. and Judy Hofflund, p.g.a. are producing with Matthew Jenkins and Angus More Gordon serving as executive producers. Conor McPherson\u00a0and Hamish McColl wrote the screenplay.<\/p>\n

Colfer came up with the idea when he saw a picture of my little brother Donal wearing a full suit ready for his first communion.
