Following widespread interest in \u2018Live From HQ\u2019, a new at home entertainment line-up which saw over 10,000 people globally tune into daily music and comedy performances in a single week, BookMyShow, the global out-of-home entertainment company, has extended its daily schedules to showcase UAE-based artists throughout April.<\/p>\n

Produced in conjunction with Indian talent management company Big Bad Wolf, \u2018Live From HQ\u2019 is now crossing borders with leading UAE institutions set to curate region-specific content starting Sunday 12th<\/sup> April in three categories: performing arts, comedy, and music.<\/p>\n

The UAE\u2019s most successful weekly act will also win the chance to expand their audience reach into India by performing as part of the Live from HQ India edition and building an audience within the world\u2019s second most populous nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we continue to practice responsible social distancing for an extended period of time, we want to offer residents daily respite with live performances repackaged to keep everyone entertained at home,\u201d said Sudhir Syal, CEO of BookMyShow Middle East. \u201cBookMyShow is expanding \u2018Live From HQ\u2019 to host A-list performers and discover emerging UAE talent. Our decision to expand the artist roster by collaborating with local talent partners will further drive the next phase of \u2018Live from HQ\u2019 to create a series of multilingual live shows designed to cater to the UAE\u2019s diverse audience demographics. With this extended line-up, \u2018Live From HQ\u2019 will become the UAE\u2019s longest live streaming initiative, creating prime-time destination viewing crossing numerous genres of live entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n

The initial bill curated by The Junction<\/em>, Dubai\u2019s leading independent performing arts venue, will feature daily 40-minute poetry readings, storytelling, monologues and more in English, Arabic, French, Hindi and Marathi. Headline local performers include Malavika Varadan, Purva Grover, Gagan Mudgal and Hansraj. Acts will include Shakespearean monologues in A Bit o\u2019the Bard<\/em>; a Writing to Heal Workshop<\/em>; and Qui a peur de Virginia Woolf <\/em>\u2013 a monologue based on a 1962 Broadway play.<\/p>\n

BookMyShow will also roll-out seven days of live comedy shows starting 19 April in collaboration with Comic On Nights<\/em>, a UAE based comedy and entertainment agency with over 150 local and international shows under its belt. The final instalment in the weekly series will showcase local musicians with BookMyShow curating five shortlisted performances.<\/p>\n
