{"id":2037,"date":"2018-01-14T12:16:44","date_gmt":"2018-01-14T12:16:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/middleeastevents.com\/blog\/?p=2037"},"modified":"2018-01-14T12:16:44","modified_gmt":"2018-01-14T12:16:44","slug":"zayed-future-energy-prize-sets-a-guinness-world-records-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.middleeastevents.com\/blog\/zayed-future-energy-prize-sets-a-guinness-world-records-title\/","title":{"rendered":"Zayed Future Energy Prize Sets A GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Title"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zayedfutureenergyprize.com\/en\/\">The Zayed Future Energy Prize<\/a> has officially achieved a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the \u201cLargest environmental sustainability lesson\u201d, announced on January 10.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 282 students from across the UAE took part in the sustainability-themed lesson at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, presented by Illac Angelo Diaz, Executive Director of Liter of Light, the non-profit winner of the Zayed Future Energy Prize in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-minute lecture highlighted how young people around the world can help to reduce energy poverty while also challenging them to devise solutions that will bring about a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>The gathering also saw the assembly of 2,400 solar lanterns, arranged to create a unique light installation in tribute to Sheikh Zayed, the UAE\u2019s founding father, the centenary of whose birth is being celebrated across the UAE in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2038 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/middleeastevents.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Sheikh-Zayed-imagePhoto-AETOSWire_1515746559.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"424\" height=\"286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.middleeastevents.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Sheikh-Zayed-imagePhoto-AETOSWire_1515746559.jpg 424w, https:\/\/www.middleeastevents.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Sheikh-Zayed-imagePhoto-AETOSWire_1515746559-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0The Zayed Future Energy Prize has officially achieved a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the \u201cLargest environmental sustainability lesson\u201d, announced on January 10.
