{"id":20183,"date":"2020-03-14T15:13:56","date_gmt":"2020-03-14T11:13:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.middleeastevents.com\/blog\/?p=20183"},"modified":"2020-03-14T15:13:56","modified_gmt":"2020-03-14T11:13:56","slug":"second-largest-manufacturer-and-processor-of-pulses-in-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.middleeastevents.com\/blog\/second-largest-manufacturer-and-processor-of-pulses-in-the-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Second Largest Manufacturer And Processor Of Pulses In The World."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, HFZA, has announced that Arab &amp; India Spices, a global leader in the pulses and spice industry, will build 12 silos at Sharjah Food Park with a total operating capacity of 52,000 metric tons of pulses at a time.<\/p>\n<p>The 12 grain storage warehouses will be constructed over a total area of 300,000 square feet in the food park, a regional hub for the Middle East and North Africa\u2019s Multi-Billion-Dollar food industry, dedicated to food import, export, storage, manufacture and packaging.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the Middle East and North Africa\u2019s first of its kind facility with such a huge organized storage capacity. It would cover the UAE\u2019s consumption needs of beans and lentils for a period of 6 months.<\/p>\n<p>The Arab India Spices\u2019 joining of companies investing in the Food Park is concrete evidence of the growing attractiveness and importance of the Hamriyah Free Zone, being a springboard for expansion activities in the regional markets. This will reinforce Sharjah\u2019s position as a leading destination for foreign direct investment.<\/p>\n<p>The project was announced (Thursday) during a ceremony held at HFZA\u2019s premises in the presence of Sheikh Khaled Bin Abdullah Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of HFZA, H.E. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of HFZA, Mr. Harish Kumarlal Tahiliani Owner of Arab India Spices as well as senior officials from both sides .<\/p>\n<p>Supporting Food Industry:<br \/>\nAl Mazrouei stressed the joining of Arab India Spices to the group of companies investing in the food park is a step in the right direction and will support Sharjah\u2019s food industry in addition to enhancing its contribution to the Emirate\u2019s diversification strategy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe global leader in the pulses and spice industry will definitely achieve significant gains thanks to HFZA\u2019s competitive services and facilities, which will help it develop and augment its investments,\u201d Al Mazrouei said.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted that Sharjah has become a global destination for businesses and foreign direct investment across various economic sectors thanks to the support and wise directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Emirate of Sharjah has taken many major steps to support its diversification strategy, taking advantage of its competitive advantages, which turned it into a key player in the global economic system. These include strategic location, sophisticated infrastructure, advanced logistical facilities, and business-motivating legislations, Al Mazrouei said, adding that the Emirate\u2019s free zones have become a global role model for their world-class services made available to all investors.<\/p>\n<p>Expansion requirements:<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Mr. Harish Kumarlal Tahiliani said: \u201cThe competitive services offered by Hamriyah Free Zone perfectly meet our expansion requirements, especially its shipping and logistical facilities, which match the highest international standards, facilitate and accelerate the doing of businesses\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project\u2019s launch is promising, once inaugurated, it will shoot up our investments in the UAE from AED 350 million to AED 500 million, a growth of 43%,\u201d he said, adding that if more silos and warehouses are built, they will be used to store rice, wheat and grains.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted that the GCC markets account for about 60% of the company\u2019s operations and activities and that the UAE is the first market targeted by the company followed by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The Arab Indian Spices is a leading global company and one of the largest providers of legumes, raw food and spices in the world. It is considered the second largest manufacturer of legumes in the world, and has more than 31 years of experience in its field.
