Al Yousuf Motors, MG Motor\u2019s exclusive retail partner in the UAE, has played host to the UAE debut of a brand-new mid-size SUV – the MG RX8 – at its Sheikh Zayed Road Showroom.<\/p>\n

The MG RX8 is a groundbreaking new model and the first ever seven-seater from the British-born brand \u2013 taking MG Motor into a segment in which it has never previously been present. The extremely well-equipped SUV is set to shake up the market in a region where large off-roaders continue to prove extremely popular amongst drivers.<\/p>\n

Robust and spacious, the MG RX8 has the largest wheelbase and the largest third-row space in its class, immediately setting it apart from its competitors. The MG RX8 is equally at home off-road as it is cruising around town or on long-distance journeys, where occupants will appreciate the advanced levels of technology and premium comfort on-board.<\/p>\n

Inside, the MG RX8 reinforces the brand\u2019s reputation for delivering premium finishes at mainstream prices. <\/em>Quality materials, including wood grain, chrome and soft-touch trim, gives the RX8 a high-class feel, and customers can opt from three attractive interior colour schemes.<\/p>\n

For space and practicality, the MG RX8 is head and shoulders above the competition. Thanks to its impressive exterior dimensions – 4923mm long, 1930mm wide and 1842mm high \u2013 the RX8\u2019s wheelbase of 2850mm is the largest in its segment, delivering a spacious and modular interior with 37 practically positioned storage compartments and a 2178-litre boot space with room for up to nine suitcases.<\/p>\n

A truly capable 4×4, the RX8 offers a real-time 4×4 Torque on Demand (TOD) System. This advanced 4WD system has six different driving modes: Auto<\/em> for smart selection; 4L<\/em> for \u2018go-anywhere\u2019 low speed, high torque; Off-road<\/em> for a pure off-roading experience; Snow<\/em> for low-adhesion, wet surfaces; Sport<\/em> for a faster throttle response and more aggressive shifting logic; and 2H<\/em> for fuel efficient high speed cruising in 2WD mode. The entry level (STD) trim comes with a 4×2 rear wheel drive transmission system.<\/p>\n

The RX8 is powered by an efficient 220HP 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that features Net Blue Technology and develops maximum torque of 360Nm. It is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddleshift gear change.<\/p>\n
