Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance, and ahead of the official launch of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2018 headline programme, Abu Dhabi Music &amp; Arts Foundation (ADMAF) presents<em>\u00a0The Centenary of \u2018La Cumparsita,\u2019<\/em>\u00a0a celebratory concert marking 100 years of the anthem of the tangos. Taking place on 23 November 2017, the Arab World Premiere performance is presented in partnership with the Embassy of Uruguay and in association with The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p>Performed by the iconic Uruguayan bandone\u00f2nist Hector Ulises Passarella and his band, the evening will celebrate the definitive anthem of the tangos reaching its 100<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary and the instrument\u2019s expressive and powerful sound \u2013 demonstrating why it is synonymous with the passionate tango.
