, UAE - March 17, 2010:
Reed Travel Exhibitions, organiser of the Arabian Travel Market, is boosting its marketing team with the arrival of two executives, prior to Arabian Travel Market 2010 which is taking place in May.
Rosie Geyman and Luke Boulton, who hail from the UK, both have international experience – the former having worked in Australia, whilst the latter spent two years working in Canada.
Rosie Geyman is involved with liaising and building relationships with suppliers and sponsors for the show, as well as producing marketing materials, whilst Luke Boulton is responsible for the website and development of Arabian Travel Market’s online presence and is working closely with the Sales team in order to ensure consistency in communications and messaging.
Lucie James, Marketing Manager, Reed Travel Exhibitions', says the two are strengthening an already strong team prior to the start of the Middle East’s premier travel and tourism event. "Both have critical roles," she explains, "with Rosie helping in the implementation of multi-channel online and offline marketing activities, and Luke working closely with outside agencies, making sure we are at the cutting edge of design in online development.”
"With the appointment of these two marketing professionals we can be sure that we are better placed to increase quality participation for the 2010 show and that our online presence will be second to none.”
Mark Walsh, Group Exhibitions Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions', says "It is being predicted that this coming year, international tourism will grow by between three and four per cent, which will be a welcome reversal for the trade that has been hit so badly in the recent past. Arabian Travel Market 2010, therefore, is the perfect venue for taking a long hard look at where we are in the overall scheme of things and how we can move forward with the prospect of better things to come in the not-so-distant future.
Online registration for the 2010 edition of the Arabian Travel Market is already available, allowing visitors to take advantage of a number of benefits in the build-up to the show, which runs from the 4th to 7th May at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The online portal – which is sponsored by Rotana - can be found at www.arabiantravelmarket.com and registration is available for exhibitors, buyers, trade visitors, the media, hosted delegates and consumers alike.
In 2009 visitor numbers to the Arabian Travel Market grew by seven per cent, with 146 hosted buyers from the premium leisure industry, an increase of over 5% of Travel Trade Professionals and over 2,200 members of the general public visiting the exhibition.
For the third year running Arabian Travel Market will host Travel Agents’ day, to be held on Thursday 6th May, the day will include a series of educational seminars, prize give-aways and entertainment features. The same day, there will be a Careers Day with interviews, workshops and careers and training advice.
The last day of the exhibition is given over to consumers who can learn about new destinations, luxury hotels and exotic faraway places, providing an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to speak face-to-face with the people buying their products.
The Arabian Travel Market is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the auspices of the Government of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
