PTL SOLAR™, experts in solar street lighting solutions and part of Green Energy LLC, today announced it has partnered with the world’s leading solar LED company, Canada-based Carmanah Technologies Corporation, to manufacture solar LED lighting solutions for outdoor applications at a facility in Dubai’s Energy and Environment Park (ENPARK), a member of TECOM Investments. Green Energy is the most reliable solutions provider of solar and renewable energy products in Middle East and Africa.
The manufacturing partnership will allow PTL SOLAR™ and Carmanah to make further inroads into the outdoor lighting market in the Middle East and select countries in Africa, as well as help service major clients in the region.
The first of its kind in Dubai, the alliance will also combine the ingenuity of a UAE-based company with the leading-edge technology of Carmanah solar LED lighting solutions. It will enable flexibility and responsiveness in meeting market demands while providing high-performing solar LED lighting solutions within a cost framework the market expects. With an increased ability to service the market with durable and reliable solar LED lighting, the partnership will additionally bring significant benefits to the community.

PTL SOLAR™ has supplied its solar energy outdoor lighting units GRENlite to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) as well as TECOM Investments’ Dubai Outsource Zone and Dubai Internet City, as part of its campaign to transform the existing system into solar-based lights.
In addition, the company has installed solar car park lights for Nakheel in the Waterfront project, as well as illuminated the first automotive factory in the UAE for heavy vehicles assembled by Scania, the world's third largest maker for trucks and buses. Efficient solar lights have a performance life of up to 100,000 hours - lasting 100 times as long when compared to incandescent lamps.
