Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organization Est. – member of INDEX Holding and in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority, are boosting efforts to organize the biggest dental conference and exhibition in the Arab World AEEDC Dubai in its fourteenth edition, under the patronage of H. H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, from the 9th and until the 11th of March 2010 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition – AEEDC Dubai 22010 had become a scientific hub for dentist specialists who come from all parts of the world every year to participate in the different scientific activities that last for a whole week. Six thousand dentists and a number of regional and international Key speakers are attending the conference and taking a remarkable part in it.
AEEDC Dubai is considered the premiere dental gathering in the Eastern Hemisphere, especially after the FDI announced earlier this year that 'AEEDC Dubai is the major Global Event recognized in the Middle East and East Asia'.
Dr. Tareq khouri, the Director of the Dental Department at the Dubai Health Authority stated that "AEEDC Dubai 2010 is to introduce a number of new specialties in dentistry in addition to a lot of surprises. He added that we are focusing on having diversity in the conference subjects this year, as we are trying to create new dimensions in the dental field in the UAE and the region".
Dr. Tariq continued, "We are now preparing for AEEDC's fourteenth edition, and we are hosting new specialised conferences that will be held in conjunction with AEEDC Dubai conference, mainly the First AEEDC International Orthodontic Meeting and the GCC Preventive Dentistry Conference".
He also mentioned that the Dubai Health Authority always supports all vital medical events, and encourages all dentists to take part in this outstanding event, and he continued "Dubai Health Authority gives full support to AEEDC Dubai as we work hard to emphasize the healthcare sector in Dubai on both regional and International levels, and AEEDC Dubai is the perfect venue to realize this approach, especially that the participants number is accelerating every year".
AEEDC Dubai is the largest dental conference and exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa and the Asian sub-continent, as it includes variety of specialties within the dental horizon. The conference supports the scientific, business, tourism and social dimensions throughout the variety of activities scheduled during the conference and the exhibition organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions.
Mr. Abdul Salam AL Madani, President of Index Holding and the Executive chairman of AEEDC Dubai said that;

In its fourteenth edition, AEEDC Dubai 2010 has a full agenda that features different scientific activities taking place before, during and after the event, including; The Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM), the First AEEDC International Orthodontic Meeting, GCC Preventive Dentistry Conference, World Federation Laser Dentistry Congress – WFLD, the advanced Specialty Courses; and otherr Educational Activities including the 2nd Student Competition, Poster Presentation, Young Researchers Award, Demonstration, Prostho Technician Course, and the Student Implant Course.
Dr. Nasser Malik, the conference Chairman said that "This year, we have brought the radiography to the scientific program, this subject has been a controversial one for all dentists, and this year we are hosting the world's key specialists to talk intensively about it. The courses will raise the dentists' efficiency and will display the latest technology used in the medical field."
He continued; "there are a lot of new activities taking place in AEEDC 2010, we are hosting the AEEDC International Orthodontic Meeting and the GCC meeting for the first time in AEEDC, which is a specialty conference that will host key note dental officials and ministers who have the influence to pose dental regulations and discuss ways of solving latest problems that Dentists are facing all over the world, and many more activities".
AEEDC Dubai will gear up to new and more varieties in both educational and competition levels. Fun activities will take place during the exhibition and the conference as well. Added Dr. Nasser
"The advanced specialty courses will provide advanced and updated theoretical and methodological approaches concerning the topics of the specialty, and systematic and comprehensive knowledge on the main and current theories in regards to different subjects of interest. It will also enhance the practical expertise of the dental specialists and build a knowledge platform among qualified specialists across the globe; they are also an opportunity to gain extra CME points", said Dr. Nasser.
With all of these scientific activities taking place at AEEDC Dubai 2010 Conference and Exhibition, it is evident that AEEDC Dubai is the right platform for promoting research in dentistry in the region and a great chance for Arab Dental Societies and authorities to meet together.
With more than 800 companies on board for the 2010 edition, representing 65 countries primarily form the USA, Brazil, Argentina, China, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, UK, Japan, Korea, KSA, Turkey, Switzerland, and UAE the host country, will gather under one roof for the three days Dental event. These companies will display their latest technologies, inventions and recommendations on the rapidly growing industry.
