The GCC plastics industry is growing at an annual rate of 20 per cent, and the growth is likely to accelerate in the near future, according to Duplas Al Sharq L.L.C, a subsidiary of Emirates Investment & Development (Emivest), which is 30 per cent owned by Dubai government.
Announcing the company‘s participation in ArabPlast Exhibition, the Middle East's premier trade show for rubber, plastics and plastic processing, to be held from January 10 to 13, 2009, at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, Eng. Mohammad Nofal – General Manager, Duplas Al Sharq, said: "Currently Duplas exports 25% of its production to the GCC and Africa markets. The products are constantly monitored to meet highest industry standards. Duplas is engaged in the manufacture of high quality plastic PE, PET, PP and PC bottles and closures ranging from 200 ml up to 25 litres, catering to the increasing packaging demands for lubricant, detergent, shampoo, chemical, edible oil, dairy, juice and water industries in the UAE and world markets.”
Duplas's clients include local as well as international brands, including Reckitt Benkiser, ADNOC and Al-Rawabi. Duplas Al Sharq is participating in ArabPlast 2009 for the second year after the successful participation in the last exhibition.
“Our fully air-conditioned production facility is equipped with the latest blow molding and injection machines, including eight color UV printing and in line labeling. The operations are managed by a team of professionals and highly skilled technical staff experienced in production of customized plastic products for industrial applications,” said Nofal.
Duplas got the ISO-9001-2000 certification in its second year of operations. With the Navision ERP system, DUPLAS is committed to supplying products of top quality and service.
A record number of companies are participating in ArabPlast 2009, a reflection on the growing importance attached by GCC countries to strengthening their manufacturing industries, including plastics and rubber sector, which are known to be more sustainable investments in the long run.
Nofal added: "Arab Plast 2009 will showcase the latest technologies and track market trends of the Middle East plastics and rubber industry, which continues to be the world's largest exporter, offloading the majority of its output to international markets."
Companies are aggressively competing to showcase their latest technology in plastic manufacturing at the exhibition. This is expected to give further boost to the demand for industrial machinery.
Al Fajer Information and Services and German exhibitions organiser Messe Dusseldorf are in a joint partnership to promote the ArabPlast exhibitions.
On display at Arab Plast 2009 will be new products and technologies in injection moulding, blow moulding, wrapping & packaging, pre and post plastic processing techniques as well as raw materials, such as masterbatches, additives and polymers. The show covers a wide spectrum of plastic machinery, plastic/rubber processing technology, pre and post-processing systems, plastic packaging technology, injection moulding, blow moulding, wrapping technology, extrusions, chemicals and additives, semi finished goods, engineering plastics and plastic products.
