Computer Shopper has recorded a phenomenal growth of 120% over last year's edition with significant growth in gaming, digital imaging and telecommunication technology. Microsoft, Jumbo, Al Futtaim Trading, Emirates Computers, Al Sayegh Bros, BenQ and Jacky's have all increased the size of their participation from last year.
Sony, the world's leading consumer Electronics Company and manufacturer of the premier gaming platform PlayStation will be bringing the "Middle East PlayStation Experience" to Dubai at the GITEX Computer Shopper.
The "Middle East PlayStation Experience" involves a set up of an integrated interactive entertainment arena in the same hall as the GITEX Computer Shopper at Airport Expo.
With around 150 PlayStation consoles loaded with the latest software titles, the "Middle East PlayStation Experience" will be the perfect platform to bring gaming to the masses and give them an opportunity to experience a wide genre of games under one roof. One of the most significant aspects about the Sony PlayStation Arena is that entrance will be free and open to all.
Emirates Computers and Nokia will for the first time in the Middle East present the 'Magic of Technology' at the Shopper. An international illusionist will perform six shows per day highlighting all the features of the latest technology. Each show will be made up of well-known DJ's from Radio and MTV, along with colourful dance acts and fantastic illusions.
In 2002 more than AED 34 million in recorded retail sales were generated providing a clear indication of the fact that the show was an outstanding success for both vendors and consumers.
With prominent players confirming their presence at the GITEX Computer Shopper this year, it is all to evident that Shopper will showcase the big global brands, offer the best bargains, attractive deals and showcase the latest and most innovative technologies.
